Naveen G Damo
Director & Physiotherapist
Naveen is a Registered Physiotherapist with Physiotherapy Alberta College and Association since 2014. He graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, and he has more than 17 years of experience working as a physiotherapist and as a lecturer in physiotherapy in various countries. He has acquired immense knowledge in state-of-the-art techniques prevalent globally. He is currently working for the University of Alberta Hospital, treating patients in acute care and was also entrusted with treating patients in restorative care, long term care, home care and out-patient care for Alberta Health Services. He has also been treating patients at private clinics in Alberta for several years and his passion towards his profession encouraged him to establish his own clinic, Healing Haven Physiotherapy, in Edmonton.
Naveen has lots of experience assessing and treating patients with motor vehicle related injuries (MVA), work place injuries (WCB), hand injuries, general musculoskeletal injuries, neurological disorders and pediatric disorders. His special interests have made him an expert in treating concussions, TMJ problems, torticollis and vertigo. To provide exceptional patient care with an evidence-based approach, Naveen keeps himself updated with relevant professional development courses.
Gayathri Chandra
General manager
Gayathri graduated with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2008. She provides administrative support and oversees the daily operations of Healing Haven Physiotherapy.
Her key responsibilities include staffing, financing, and policymaking. In her free time, Gayathri loves spending time with her daughter and husband. She enjoys cooking, yoga, and music.
Sukh
Clinic Manager
Sukh has a bachelor degree in Physiotherapy from a foreign country and is currently working on her credentials to practice in Canada. She had an opportunity to enhance her knowledge with a Healthcare Administration course (physio practice) in CDN Healthcare system at the University of Alberta, gaining a thorough understanding of the Canadian Healthcare system.
She is a certified CPR & first-aid personnel, and also an associate member of the Therapy Assistant Association of Alberta TH.A.A.A (2020/21). Her acquired knowledge from studies, combined with work experience in the past two years and passion for helping others, is an asset to our team
Riya
Therapy Assistant/ Office Admin
Riya holds a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an international institution and has recently completed a postgraduate program in Occupational Health and Safety Management. She has further enriched her clinical expertise through a specialized course focused on Physiotherapy Practice within the Canadian healthcare system, where she gained valuable insight into patient-centered care.
Certified in CPR and First Aid, Riya brings a strong foundation in physiotherapy, a safety-oriented mindset, and a genuine passion for supporting patient recovery. She is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary credentials to practice professionally in Canada. With her combination of international education, clinical training, and commitment to excellence, Riya is a compassionate and capable healthcare professional.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, dancing, and listening to folk and devotional songs.
Miki
Registered Massage Therapist
Miki graduated from the MaKami College 3000-hour advanced therapeutic massage therapy program. For the past 8 years she has specialized in performing different types of massage techniques: deep tissue, relaxation, soft-tissue release, prenatal and postnatal massages. Her strengths lie in her ability to identify underlying problem areas and build trusting relationships with her patients. She also educates them about self-care at home and works with them to create a treatment plan.
Karen
Registered Massage Therapist
Karen is a passionate massage therapist who has been practicing since 2019. Her skills include deep tissue massage, relaxation massage, prenatal and postnatal massage, and massage for kids. Beyond her healing work, she finds solace in nurturing plants, embodying her commitment to care and wellness both professionally and personally.
Lenine
Registered Massage Therapist
Lenine holds a diploma in registered massage therapy, having completed 2400 hours of training at CDI College. He is proficient in various techniques such as therapeutic massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, and lymphatic drainage massage.
His methodology focuses on providing customized treatments for each client while also educating them to help them reach their individual goals and expectations. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, camping, hiking, meditating, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Simran
Office Admin / Therapy Assistant
Simran completed a Diploma in Business Administration – Human Resources from NorQuest College and joined our team as an Office Admin and Therapy Assistant.With a strong passion for healthcare, Simran is dedicated to supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.
She plays a vital role at both the front desk and in the therapy area, ensuring each patient feels welcomed, comfortable, and cared for during their visits. Her warm personality and attentive approach help create a positive and supportive environment for everyone she interacts. Within her free time, she loves reading, cooking, and watching movies. She also has a keen interest in learning new skills and staying updated on best practices in patient care and office administration.
Jasmeen
Office Admin / Therapy Assistant
Jasmeen graduated from Norquest College with a Hospital Unit Clerk certification. She always wanted to work in healthcare and make a positive impact on patients. She has a true compassion and dedication for her work and is always there to ensure clients receive the help they need. In her free time, Jasmeen likes painting, cooking, and watching movies.
Vaibhavi (Vee)
Office Admin/ Therapy Assistant
Vaibhavi completed her studies as a Chemical Laboratory Technician at Durham College in Ontario. Currently, she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at MacEwan University, motivated by her enthusiasm for the healthcare field. In her leisure time, she participates in fitness activities, enjoys reading, and engages in volunteer work, which helps her maintain a sense of balance and connection with her community. Her commitment to healthcare and ongoing education fuels her dedication to delivering outstanding patient care.
